I was fined in June for buying the wrong ticket to the Munich airport via the subway S-bahn.
didn't have money on me and had to catch the flight, anyhow, got a letter today asking to pay. the entire thing is in German and the only thing attached is a form to write my bank account info on.
also google failed to help as people say just suck it up and pay, but they are talking about people who can walk to the office and pay the fine directly.
if anyone can read german, can i pay online from that site? otherwise i guess I just wait for a collection agency?
after reading through the page i didn't find a direct link to fine payment. i would recommend either emailing them or simply paying the fine through the method provided.
Bitte geben Sie bei Ihrer Überweisung auf jeden Fall die Fahrpreisnacherhebungsnummer im Verwendungszweck des Überweisungsträgers an. Diese finden Sie oben auf der Fahrpreisnacherhebung.
basically they are telling you to call with all of your information on hand, there is no easy way to totally translate german compound nouns i can just tell you the gist of them.
english is compulsory in Germany so everyone born 1990 or later will have some understanding of the language, and and almost everyone in munich speaks it(marshall plan is fun), so just call and say, in english, that you need help. if they don't understand you they will still link you up with someone that does.
not really sure what that means, did notice a 14 euro cents per minute so i suggest getting a phone card, which will also have the directions on how to call that number from america cuz i haven't the slightest clue

In my experience with DB, I would recommend emailing (in english) explaining your problem and how to get ahold of them.
There is also a way to read the db website in english.
